Hi! My name is Gabriella.
With a passion for exploring creative outlets through social media, photography, and videography, I hope to contribute my unique ideas and storytelling abilities to the everchanging digital marketing world.
ABOUT ME
The world of marketing…
is a way to inspire others and make your mark on the world. I realized the power that social media and content creation has when I was a kid. Watching gymnastics videos at the age of 10 inspired me to make my own versions and led to a passion for video editing and creative pursuits. I started with small apps like WeVideo, and Inshot.
In 2020, I began to explore the film and photography world, using professional tools. I became proficient in Canva, creating fliers and videos for family and friends, as well as CapCut. The ideas and possibilities are endless with today’s technology, and being able to generate an emotional response to and engagement with a creation I spent lots of time on became my love. I have worked with large organizations and companies to practice my storytelling through my work. Today, I work with many school and local organizations to practice my passion and make my mark.
Education
I have a love for capturing joy in people, stories, and unique POVs, through photos, videos, and content creation. I’m happy to explore this while studying as a sophomore at the Macaulay Honors College at the College of Staten Island, majoring in Business Marketing and Management, with a Minor in Communications.
Career
I explored the content world in high school…
and became as involved as possible with social media as I could. Managing and leading a volunteering club came with unknown territory: the role to manage a social media account. Instagram: a creative medium I had no idea how to use. So I learned. With lots of prep, research, and plenty of practice, I took control of the Instagram. I created fliers, posts, videos, reels, and other content that supported my school, other organizations, and collaborations with local groups to better the community that I was involved in.
I transferred my knowledge and skills from this to foster connections through LinkedIn, my photography Instagram account, and photography and videography for Next Level Youth Sports. From doing so, I created many projects both in school and on the outside to contribute to my experience.
When college began, I assumed the role as Social Media Intern - running the @macaulaycsi Instagram page and grew social media engagement by 264% month-over-month, reaching 63K+ views and 5K+ accounts. During December 2024, I was able to present and win a pitch competition at the World Trade Center for the VML Advertising Agency, where I gained lots of mentorship and experience serving as the account manager for my team. I was encouraged to pursue my love for Digital Marketing and Branding further as I interned for Disruptor DAO and Tayino Foods during my Spring 2025 semester. These experiences prepared me for my summer internship, where I interned with MSNBC’s Live Events Team. I functioned as their social media manager by creating pitch decks for sponsors, training on graphics software, and producing, filming, editing original content with talent — generating 43K+ views, reaching 35K+ accounts, and 1.1% engagement rate.
Today, I am currently still the Social Media Intern for the Macaulay Honors College at CSI and the President of the CSI Marketing Club. I am continuing to grow, learn, and pass on my knowledge to a community of fellow marketers as I progress in my college career.
